A man screaming because his leg was caught in the rubble and he could not escape. A child cries out for his family. A mother searching for her child.
Below the boy's eyes, just like in a movie, monsters are on the rampage and people are running away in fear.
It's like pandemonium in hell.
Some of the people fighting in the midst of this chaos were dressed in strange costumes.
"If VRMMO were to be played in this reality, maybe they'll look like this", people would think like that when they saw those outfits.
Normally I would have thought it was cosplay, but they faced off against monsters with swords and spears, and fired bows and "magic" from a distance.
They hunt monsters with movements impossible for humans, but there are too many enemies.
In front of the overflowing number of monsters, the warriors were forced back further and further from the front lines, and an increasing number of them began to be attacked.

One of the warriors let out a fearful voice as he looked up at the sky.
There, a dragon with huge wings spread out looked down on them.
The warriors were terrified by the symbol of despair and began to flee, seeing no chance of victory.
"Run, run!"
"We can't handle this anymore! We need to request assistance from S-Rank Hunters! This is a 'calamity'!"
"O, oi, aren't you guys Hunters!? What will happen to us if you run away!?"
"Help! There are still children over there!"
"We can't handle this anymore! Stronger Hunters will arrive soon!"
"Don't mess around! What do you think we pay taxes for!?"
"That's right! You're Hunters, so defeating monsters is your job, right!?"
"We're doing our best if we can manage it! But it's impossible for us to handle this many Gate Breaks alone! And a dragon, too... Eek!"
A state of panic due to extreme conditions.
The warriors, who had been calm at first, gradually lose their composure as they became closer to their own death.
Looking at the people running away, the boy let out a resigned sigh.
"I should go..."
The young man put on a tattered cloak, covering his face with the hood so as not to be seen.
Drawing the sword at his waist, a bright silvery light gleamed, and he leaped off the rooftop of the building in one swift motion.
The dragon is looking down at the ground from above and is about to release a breath of flame.
"Guooooo!?"
The dragon, the king of the sky, was momentarily startled by the presence coming toward it, but realizes that was a small, weak human and laughed mockingly.
He then changed the target of its breath to the boy and spat out flames all at once.
"...."
A dragon's breath turns humans into ashes without leaving any bones.
That was common knowledge.
A single flash of light soars through the sky.
The moment the boy swung his sword, the flames dispersed as if nothing had happened in the first place, leaving behind a fantastic landscape that looked like dancing fairies.
And the boy didn't stop.
The dragon, who thought of him as a weak presence, couldn't believe it's eyes as the boy approached it.
"I don't want to draw too much attention... so just die quickly."
"---Gyaaa!?"
The boy passed by the dragon.
Instantly - its body, which was supposed to be strong, was cut in half and fell straight to the ground.
Fortunately, there were no people at the impact site due to the dragon's attack, so only monster got impacted by it.
And so, the situation was referred to as a calamity, was split in half by the hands of one boy.
When the boy landed on the next building and looked down, he saw a shocking sight.
"....even though it is a hunter's job to save people, what are you guys doing?"
There were still civilians left, but apparently the hunters had fled.
Because of this, the remaining demons were about to attack the people.
"...Haa. I guess it can't be helped."
The boy jumps off the building.
And the moment he hit the ground, he began wiping out the demons faster than anyone could see.
The monsters are bewildered, not understanding what's happening, the same goes for the people who were under attack.
Perhaps their instinct to run away kicked in, and in the end, only the monster and the boy were left behind.
And even that's only for a short time.
The monsters, intent on attacking the last remaining prey, were driven away by the lone individual.
"This is the end."
The boy cut through the last remaining giant monster and turned around.
There was a mountain made up of hundreds of monster corpses, and there were no moving creatures anywhere.
"Ah..."
Suddenly, the wind blows and the boy's face is exposed.
The person who achieved this had a childlike face, around high school student's age.
"Well, no one's here anymore, I guess it's fine... hm??
"U, um..."
There was a girl whose legs were caught in the debris and had failed to escape.
The boy hurriedly put his hood back on and moved the debris away from the girl as he approached her.
He gently placed his hand over her wounds, and a soft light radiated from it.
Almost instantly, the girl's injuries seemed to have vanished as if they had never been there.
"...wh, who are you?"
"...just a passing hunter."
Without showing his face, he just says that and puts his index finger over his mouth to show that he wants her to remain silent.
And with that, the boy started walking with the confused girl and a mountain of dead monsters behind him.
"Savior-sama?"
"....."
At those words, he momentarily stopped and turned around.
"This world doesn't need a savior."
With those words, he started walking again.
The boy who was once called The Savior, and will be called the same in the future, now just wants to live a quiet everyday life, or so he thought.
